Crop Consulting Agronomist

Innovative and service oriented agronomic company in Kinsley, KS is seeking a self-motivated person for a full time Crop Consulting Agronomist position to serve producers in South Central and Southwest Kansas. This position requires strong agronomic knowledge and skills in addition to the ability to develop and cultivate relationships with existing customers while expanding the customer base. Responsibilities will require in-depth agronomic skills, detailed crop consulting, soil sampling, insect and weed identification, irrigation scheduling, chemical recommendations and other responsibilities deemed by management.
Requirements for the Successful Candidate:
ØBachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science or other related field
ØSolid farm background or experience with agronomic skills
ØKnowledge of corn, soybean and wheat crops; agricultural chemicals and fertilizer
ØExcellent written and verbal communication skills
ØAttention to detail and proven organizational skills
ØComputer knowledge including IPad usage
ØAbility to cultivate new relationships
ØDesire to learn and help others
ØAbility to operate with little supervision
ØWillingness to work extended hours (60+ including Saturday’s) to meet business demands
ØOutstanding work ethic
ØPhysical ability to walk fields (10+ miles daily) in mud, heat and other adverse environmental conditions
ØValid U.S. drivers license with good driving record
